How Long Are The Lessons?
The lessons are typically 60 minutes, but depending on the subjects of the class, they can vary from 45 minutes up to 1 hour and 10 mins.
When Will My Lesson Be?
The day and hour of the lesson will be set according to teacher and student availability. It is recommended that you stick to the same schedule if you booked several lessons.
What Happens If I Miss A Lesson?
If a lesson is booked, you have 48 hours to let us know that you won’t be available for the scheduled lesson. Otherwise, you are responsible for the full charge of the lesson. Special cases will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
What Do I Need To Take Piano and/or Theory Lessons?
To take the Piano lessons, you need to have at home at least a 5 octave keyboard to practice, although a full 88 electric piano with weighted keys is recommended if you don’t have access regularly to an acoustic piano.
For Theory lessons, it is also recommended that you have at least a 5 octave keyboard if you are starting from scratch. If you don’t have access to a keyboard or piano, it is recommended that you have access to a harmonic instrument (like guitar) to better understand the lessons.
How Does The Lesson Work?
The teacher will explain his Piano technique and repertoire, according to the level of the student. The student must practice during the following week. Each class will consist of a review of the last week, corrections and new advice, and then new studies. The pace of the lessons will be based on the student’s progress and dedication but for a successful experience, it is highly important that the student practice many days a week, following the guidelines given by the teacher.
